With the May 1 launch date on the horizon and Head Start beginning in less than three days, the tubes of the interwebs are filled with TERA talk. We thought we'd post samples of what press and players are saying about the game; here's Kotaku's Mike Fahey and Gabe of Penny Arcade fame.

TERA's official launch day is right around the corner and our subscription management system will go live soon! This system will allow you to set up and manage your billing and subscription plan on your En Masse account page. We'll follow up with a news post when it's live along with instructions on how to use it.

We'll also be extending the availability of inaugural subscription pricing. All TERA community members who select a subscription plan by May 31 at 11:59 PM Pacific will be able to lock in discounted rates of up to 40% off the monthly subscription. Extending the deadline by a month will make sure that all of our founding players get to take advantage of rates as low as $8.95 per month. Once you select a discounted subscription plan, that monthly rate is yours to keep for as long as you keep it.

We had some great contests during the Closed Beta Tests where we asked players to be creative, be smart, be lucky, or be an MMO-FO. Our community rose to the challenge and sent us their incredible videos, screenshots, and infographics for a chance to win fantastic prizes from Logitech and En Masse Entertainment. With TERA's final beta event ending last night, we want to congratulate these winners for their inspiring creations. It has been a pleasure seeing your work!

Want to know if your server is up, if there's a wait to enter, or if that other server you're considering is less populated? Check out our Server Status page! This page displays the queue and population of each server in real-time. A server labeled "Recommended" means there's low population meaning you'll rarely encounter a queue while "Full" means character creation has been suspended on that server.

Want an early taste of TERA's beautiful world and visceral combat? Check out this trailer of the game's all-new playable prologue. As TERA begins, the first explorers to the mysterious Island of Dawn are shipwrecked and attacked by demons the moment they land. After reaching the beach, you'll have to struggle to regroup before the demons descend upon the survivors.
