TERA’s historic first elections are over! With the votes tallied and the vanarchs elected, a new phase in TERA’s life begins. Today, we’re interviewing Valentio, a new vanarch on the Dragonfall server, who not only won on that server, but got the most votes of any candidate on any server! We wanted to share Valentio’s thoughts on the election, what’s coming up in the vanarchy, and how it feels to be a vanarch!
Now you can play TERA absolutely free for seven days with the new TERA trial. All you need is a free En Masse account to play TERA for seven days, and level up eight characters on any one server to level 23. When you convert to a paid subscription, you keep your characters.
A few restrictions apply—explained in the TERA Trial FAQ—but you’ll be able to play and enjoy almost every aspect of TERA. And, most importantly, you’ll experience our true action combat. We know it’s hard to get what makes playing TERA so different from any other MMO, and now you’ll be able to see, hear, and feel the difference for yourself.
For more details, and to get your TERA trial code, visit the Try TERA page. We’ll see you in the world of TERA!
A big part of what makes TERA fun is battling alongside (and sometimes against!) your friends. When new players join the game, veterans might wonder just how much they can do together until their friends catch up in level. There are limitations to consider, but which method is right for you? For them? What about other ways to support your friends? Do you just give them a pile of gold or a mountain of dawnhide? Our new guide on cross-level play is here to answer your questions! Check it out!
Nothing fills up a pack faster than slaughtering BAMs and blasting through instances. Anyone who’s ever had to forego that great weapon because of a loaded-down pack knows the value of inventory management. Keeping track of your treasure, crafting materials, spares, and consumables can challenge anyone.
To make your life easier, we’ve got a new guide to help you make the most of your space and leverage what goes in and out of your bank.
TERA's rich and complex storylines often lead you into the most dangerous places imaginable on both continents. The biggest, baddest BAMs guard TERA's deepest, darkest secrets down inside instanced dungeons. These fortresses house demented vampirs, mass murderers, and evil gods—are you ready to face them? Will you do it alone?
Our comprehensive guides to TERA's instanced dungeons will prepare you for the worst so you can be at your best. We provide helpful tips, like what you should do when Baracos enrages in the Golden Labyrinth, which trash mobs to avoid while traipsing through Sigil Adstringo, or where the story quests begin that lead you to the Bastion of Lok.
The world of TERA continues to evolve, and we wanted to share some of the latest changes with you. Patch 17.29.03 goes live with Tuesday's maintenance, and with that comes some minor changes—and new patch notes!
Take a look and see what's changed in the world of TERA!
We've said it again and again: once you play TERA, you'll feel the difference true action combat makes, and you won't want to stop playing.
Until now, the only way to try the game was to buy it, but as of today a TERA demo is available on a cloud gaming platform. You can play through TERA's riveting prologue in its entirety—no download required! Just go to our new demo page, follow the instructions, and play TERA!
Ready to convince your friends to join you in the world of TERA? Our demo is the perfect way to show them what they're missing. Or are you about to take the plunge and try TERA yourself? There's never been a better time!
Anxious to get into a real fight? Looking for a challenge to occupy your whole guild? Then you might be ready to face the nexus.
A nexus is a tear in the fabric of the Dream where strange, potent monsters invade the world. Players near a nexus automatically receive a quest to stop the incursions. Emerge from a nexus victorious, and you’ll earn significant rewards and reputation with the Agnitor faction.
Nexuses aren’t fights for keeners. Players need to coordinate and work together like never before to survive three increasingly difficult phases.
With TERA's first month in the rearview mirror, we're excited to turn our attention to future content you'll see later this summer. An MMO launch is just the beginning—we're listening to your feedback and incorporating it into our plans for the game.
Many of you have shared your thoughts on TERA's two tank classes, the warrior and lancer. If you play either class, you'll appreciate having more flexibility on both offense and defense, so we're changing defensive skills to consume a new resource instead of MP. (And before you ask, yes—you'll be able to restore that third bar on the top of your screen quickly.) Warriors will gain three new skills, including the ability to block an attack with their twin swords. Lancers will get two new skills, including a skill that should significantly improve lancer mobility.
