TERA’s console Head Start launches Tuesday, March 27 on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One! Pick up a Founder’s Pack and be the first of your friends to get in on the action!
TERA officially launches for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One on Tuesday, April 3. On that date, TERA will be free to play and download from the PlayStation™Store and Xbox Store.
Here’s what you need to know to get started!
When do the servers go live and Founder’s Packs become available?
To help provide a smoother experience on launch day, we’re staggering release across platforms and servers. Head Start and Founder’s Pack release times are as follows:
- Europe: 4:00 UTC on March 27
- North America: Midnight EDT on March 27 (9 p.m. PDT on March 26)
- Europe: 8:00 UTC on March 27
- North America: 8 a.m. PDT on March 27
How big is the launch client?
- On Xbox One, the launch client is a 48.2 GB download.
- On PS4, the launch client is approximately a 42 GB download.
If I participated in Open Beta and still have the game installed on my console, will I need to re-download it?
On PS4, you will be able to update seamlessly to the launch version from both the Open Beta and Open Beta 2 versions.
On Xbox One, you must download the launch version, as it is separate from the previous Open Beta versions. You should delete the Open Beta version of the game if it is still on your hard drive.
Will TERA require Playstation®Plus or Xbox Live subscriptions to play?
A Gold subscription is required to play TERA on Xbox One.
You do not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play TERA on PS4.
Will character progress, purchases, etc. be wiped from this point forward?
Will there be both PvP / PvE servers to choose from?
There will be both PvP and PvE servers to choose from on launch day across all platforms and regions. Open world PvP is limited to level 65 players.
