Chakra Rising

First stop, Motivation Station! Things have been getting a little doughy around the federation, and a mandate has come down from the top…it’s time to get in shape!

  • Stamina has now been replaced with Limber.
    • If you have not engaged in combat for 30 minutes, your Limber status is set to 0. Engaging in combat while Limber status is 0 applies Pulled Hammy:
    • Pulled Hammy
      • Reduces Movement Speed and Attack Speed by 75%.
  • All classes have been granted a new skill:
    • Warm Up
      • Increases Limber by 30.
      • 60 minute cooldown.
  • New Classes Added – Fitness Trainers!
    • Get your exercise on with these hot new classes! Each race now has their very own fitness-based class.
  • Yoga Instructor [Baraka] [High Elf]
    • The Yoga Instructor is a support class available only to Baraka. All moves that Yoga Instructor learn have only one level, but the effectiveness of each skill increases with experience.
    • Yoga Instructors use Energy instead of MP as a resource during combat. Yoga Instructors regenerate 5 Energy per second, and can hold up to 200 Energy at a time.
    • Strike a Pose
      • Instead of attacking, Yoga Instructors strike poses during combat. By switching from one pose to the other, a Yoga Instructor either deals damage, or helps their allies. All abilities have a range of 25m unless specified in the description.

    Poses

    • Pose: Warrior (Level 1)
      • You assume the Warrior pose. Entering this pose deals a small amount of damage to enemies within 5m.
      • 10 second cooldown, 0 Energy.
    • Pose: Tree (Level 8)
      • You assume the Tree pose. Entering this pose increases Limber by 10 for all party members and increases the effectiveness of the next pose you do by 15%.
      • 10 second cooldown, 0 Energy.
    • Pose: Triangle (Level 13)
      • You assume the Triangle pose. Entering this pose heals up to 3 allies for a small amount.
      • 2 second cooldown, 5 Energy.
    • Yoga Mat (Level 16)
      • Place a soft blue mat on the ground, regenerating an additional 10 Energy per second.
      • Applies Peace of Mind to allies within 45m.
        • Increases Attack Speed of allies within 45m by 10%.
      • Yoga Mat rolls up and disappears if player stops posing for more than 30 seconds.
    • Pose: Half Shoulder Stand (Level 19)
      • You assume the Half Shoulder Stand pose. Entering this pose deals a large amount of damage to a single enemy within 5m. Enemies exposed to Half Shoulder Stand take 3% more damage for 45 seconds.
      • 30 second cooldown, 15 Energy.
    • Pose: High Warrior (Level 26)
      • You assume the High Warrior pose. Entering this pose deals a moderate amount of damage to enemies within 5m.
      • 3 second cooldown, 30 Energy; 0 Energy when struck after Warrior.
    • Pose: Downward Dog (Level 36)
      • You assume the Downward Dog pose. Entering this pose increases the Endurance of all party members by 20% for 15 seconds.
      • If a Yoga Mat is down in the area, party members also gain 15 Limber.
      • 20 second cooldown, 15 Energy.
    • Inner Peace (Level 45)
      • The Yoga Instructor inhales deeply, channeling anger and negative feelings into positivity. After 5 seconds, the Yoga Instructor exhales, recovering 100% of max HP for up to 10.
      • Increases Limber by 20 for all healed allies, and cures all status ailments.
      • 120 second cooldown, 50 Energy.
    • Pose: Low Warrior (Level 49)
      • You assume the Low Warrior pose. Entering this pose deals a large amount of damage to a single enemy within 5m.
      • 10 second cooldown, 30 Energy, 0 if struck after High Warrior.
    • Pose: Bow (Level 55)
      • You assume the Bow pose. Entering this pose purges all harmful effects from one ally.
      • 3 second cooldown, 10 Energy.
    • Pose: Camel (Level 65)
      • You assume the Camel pose. Entering this pose completely recovers the HP of one ally. 30% of the amount healed also splashes to up to 4 nearby allies and cleanses all status ailments.
      • 24 second cooldown, 25 Energy.
  • Crossfit Trainer [Castanic] [Human] [Aman]
    • The Crossfit Trainer is a hybrid DPS/Tank class. Each day, a Crossfit Trainer may select one of two available WoDs. Once selected, a Crossfit Trainer is locked into that playstyle until the WoDs reset each morning at 2a.m. PST.
      • KING KONG
        • Focuses on muscle and strength, uses a barbell as a weapon.
        • Reduces Movement Speed by 45% while on foot.
        • Decreases all damage by 55%, and all incoming damage is reduced by 60%. All damage dealt while KING KONG is active greatly increases your threat.
      • Filthy 50
        • Focus on cardio and endurance, uses a Kettlebell as a weapon.
        • Increases Attack Speed by 40%.
    • Crossfit Trainer skills do not use MP, but instead sap Vigor. Vigor drains slowly when not in combat and is regenerated by the Protein Boost skill.
    • While at 50% or higher Vigor, Crossfit Trainers are JACKED UP!
      • Reduces damage taken by 10%. Increases damage by 15%, Attack Speed is increased by 7%, and they are immune to movement reduction abilities (including KING KONG).
    • Crossfit Trainers work well in short bursts. If a Crossfit Trainer has been in combat for a combined total of 45 minutes during the last 24 hours, their Vigor is reduced to 0. At 0 Vigor they are Tuckered Out.
      • Reduces all damage dealt by 30%, and reduces Attack Speed by 15%. Every 5 minutes that the Crossfit Trainer is Tuckered Out, they will pause for 30 seconds to catch their breath.

    Exercises

    • Focus (Level 1)
      • You prepare for combat by focusing on the task at hand. Focus immediately recovers 75% of max HP, and increases Limber by 5.
      • 60 second cooldown, 0 Vigor.
    • Motivated Shout (Level 12)
      • You scream loudly, motivating allies for battle, and taunting enemies within 15m. Enemies affected by Motivated Shout have increased aggro towards you; allies have their Attack Speed for 5 seconds.
      • 120 second cooldown, 0 Vigor.
    • Power Lift (Level 20)
      • (KING KONG) Applies Out-Lifted to a single enemy.
        • Stuns an enemy for 3 seconds. After the stun fades, increases all damage taken by 7%.
        • 30 second cooldown.
      • (Filthy 50) Strikes an enemy, dealing moderate damage.
        • Increases Power by 5% for up to 4 allies for 15 seconds.
        • 30 second cooldown.
    • Push Up (Level 28)
      • (KING KONG) Drop your weapon and do pushups for up to 10 seconds, rooting you in place.
        • While doing pushups, all enemies within 10m are frozen in amazement and unable to move or attack.
        • 5 minute cooldown.
      • (Filthy 50) Drop your weapon and do pushups for up to 10 seconds, rooting you in place.
        • While doing pushups, all party members recover 2% of their HP per second.
        • Crossfit Trainer gains a damage-reducing shield equal to the amount of HP recovered, lasting up to 2 minutes.
        • 2 minute cooldown.
    • Deadlift (Level 46)
      • (KING KONG) Charge up your guns by holding down the skill button, then drop your weapon to deal moderate explosive damage to all enemies within 5m.
        • Immune to damage while charging (5 seconds).
        • Reduces Movement Speed and Attack Speed of enemies by 20% for 30 seconds.
        • 60 second cooldown.
      • (Filthy 50) Plant your feet and swing your kettlebell between your legs, using momentum to strike an enemy each second for 15 seconds.
        • Damage increases with each strike, final swing knocks the enemy down.
        • 60 second cooldown.
    • Max Out (Level 65)
      • (KING KONG) Drop your barbells to the ground, creating a fissure. All enemies caught in the fissure
      • (Filthy 50) Swing your kettlebell forward, hitting all enemies within 20m and knocking them into the air. Once an enemy lands they are stunned and take 30% more damage while stunned.
  • Zumba Instructor [Popori] [Elin]
    • A fast-paced, agile DPS class.
    • Instead of MP, Zumba Instructors use Swagger.
      • Swagger is earned through combat. The more Swagger you have, the more powerful your routines are, and the more routines you can use.
      • You always start combat with 0 Swagger and can hold a maximum of 100 Swagger.
      • Zumba Instructor routines have increased effectiveness with other Zumba Instructors in the same party.

    Routines

    • Get Movin’ (Level 1)
      • Perform basic dance steps to prepare for combat.
      • While Get Movin’ is active, your Swagger is frozen at its current level and will not go down, even while out of combat.
    • Partner Up (Level 1)
      • Select another Zumba Instructor. While partnered, each individual Zumba Instructor must perform the same routines or receive the debuff “Look Silly”.
      • Look Silly
        • Your swagger is stuck at 0. While active, you character wears a dunce cap, and any NPC you encounter boos you.
        • 30 minute duration.
      • While partnered up, damage dealt by either Zumba Instructor increases by 50%.
    • Dance: Merengue (Level 1)
      • Perform basic Merengue steps for 5 seconds, dealing minor damage to a single enemy.
      • When partnered up, the damage extends to all enemies within 6m.
      • Swagger increases by 5 when chained from any other Dance.
      • 5 second cooldown, 0 Swagger.
    • Dance: Salsa (Level 9)
      • Perform basic Salsa steps for 3 seconds, dealing minor damage to all enemies within 9m.
      • When partnered up, also recovers nearby allies’ HP by 25% of the damage dealt.
      • Swagger increases by 5 when chained from any other Dance.
      • 7 second cooldown, 20 Swagger.
    • Dance: Cumbia (Level 15)
      • Perform basic Cumbia steps, dealing a major damage to one enemy.
      • When partnered up, also raises Limber by 5.
      • Swagger increases by 5 when chained from any other Dance.
      • 10 second cooldown, 45 swagger.
    • Dance: Reggaeton (Level 22)
      • Perform basic Reggaeton steps, granting allies within 15m 10% damage reduction for 3 seconds.
      • When partnered up, also increases allies’ Crit Rate by 15.
      • Swagger increases by 5 when chained from any other Dance.
      • 5 second cooldown, 50 swagger.
    • Groovin’ (Level 34)
      • Increases the effectiveness of your next Dance by 30%.
      • 30 second cooldown, 0 Swagger
    • Performance: Salsa (Level 39)
      • Complete expert Salsa steps for 3 seconds, dealing major damage to all enemies within 9m.
      • When partnered up, also recovers nearby allies’ HP by 30% of the damage dealt, and increases other healing received for 15 seconds.
      • Swagger increases by 5 when chained from any other Performance.
      • 45 second cooldown, 80 Swagger.
    • Speed It Up (Level 44)
      • Reduces all cooldowns by 75% for 30 seconds.
      • 5 minute cooldown, 0 Swagger.
    • Performance: Reggaeton (Level 52),
      • Complete expert Reggaeton steps, granting allies within 30m 15% damage reduction for 5 seconds, and increasing Movement Speed by 30% for 8 seconds
      • When partnered up, also increases Crit Rate and Power by 20.
      • Swagger increases by 5 if chained from any other Performance.
      • 45 second cooldown, 75 Swagger.
    • Performance: Cumbia - required to perform (Level 62)
      • Complete expert Cumbia steps, dealing incredible damage to a single enemy.
      • When partnered up, also raises Limber by 10.
      • Swagger increases by 5 when chained from any other Performance.
      • 30 second cooldown, 90 swagger.
    • Performance: Merengue (Level 65)
      • Complete expert Merengue steps over 5 seconds, dealing major damage to a single enemy.
      • When partnered up, the damage extends to all enemies within 45m.
      • Enemies affected by Merengue are rooted in place until they die.
      • Swagger increases by 5 if chained from any other Performance.
      • 120 second cooldown, 100 Swagger.
  • Events
    • Festival of the Dad
      • It says the door is a jar. But the door isn’t a jar, it’s a door.
      • Island of Dawn redesign:
        • Money now grows on trees.
        • Lighting has been changed to accommodate for a constant state of Dawn.
          • You will now never need to stay up all night wondering where the sun went.
        • New NPC dialogs.
          • NPCs will now only speak to you in hilarious and sometimes facepalm-worthy jokes.
          • Players are required to /laugh once to acknowledge the NPC, or the joke will repeat.
        • NPCs now have visible screws in their neck, so their head is always screwed on straight.
        • You may now jump off the bridge on the northern end of the island.
          • If anyone on your friends list jumps off the bridge, you are required to jump as well.
        • Spamming a specific emote will now freeze your character in that animation forever.
        • No duels are allowed inside Tower Base. You can do that outside.
        • If you stay on the Island of Dawn past level of 18, you will be permanently kicked off the island. You have to grow up some day.
        • Bandages and HP potions will be withheld until there’s a real problem.
        • A thermostat has been added to the Island of Dawn. We have set the temperature already. Don’t touch it or you're banned.
        • NPC dialog “Do you need my help?” will be replaced with “Go ask your mom”.
        • Parties have been disabled until you are over the level of 18. You play under our roof, you play by our rules.
      • The event ends with a long heated discussion about whether Valkyon Federation tax rates are fair.
        • If you can’t share the loot from this event, you won’t get any at all.
      • If you don’t understand the Festival of the Dad rules, they will be repeated to you louder and slower until you understand them.
    • New Merchant - Dad Costumes
      • Dad cosmetic items are now available for purchase from Hardware Store merchants, including several “don’t get smart with me” boxes
        • Vacation Dad Costume box
          • Usable by all races and genders.
          • Contains: A wonderful blue T-shirt tucked into a pair of tan shorts, white socks that go up to low-mid calf length, and white tennis shoes.
        • Yard Work Dad Costume box
          • Contains: BBQ Apron, cargo shorts, safety glasses, weed whacker, socks, and sandals.
