Harvest Festival Dinner Party Contest Results

by Scapes.

The party is over! Our Harvest Festival Dinner Party contest challenged the TERA community to arranging seating for a party for members from each of TERA's races and themselves. The Writing Team and Senior Community Manager Evan "Scapes" Berman reviewed the entries and selected the following winners:

First Place

"A Small Harvest Festival on the Great Rift" by pocketdoor

In the shadow of the trees at the edge of the Great Rift, the smoke from the cabin's kitchen was infused with the smell of spicy ground basilisk and sweet khamala flower. The gentle baraka servants, though huge in stature and strength, prepared dozens of hearty meals with quiet patience. They periodically took serving trays which overflowed with succulent fare to the other six races which encircled the makeshift single rectangular dining table.

Second Place

"Learning From Our Mistakes" by Uruvion

• Do not seat the Popori and Elin at the same table as an Aman. The Aman will get his food stolen and a table might be thrown across the room at said Popori and/or Elin.
• No weapons are allowed past the door! We don't need another incident like the one we had last year. For those of you who don't remember, the Berserker offered to cut the turkey with his great axe. The end result was not satisfactory.

Third Place

"Feasting With the Enemy" by rockman1138

Volume-wise, half of ALL the cooking done was for the amani. That much I expected. Still, I don't think those two emptied their mouths long enough to speak more than ten words between them the whole time. Personally, I wish they would have. They make better company than elves. Effort-wise, the elven dishes accounted for half of everything. I swear to Gidd, elves are fussier with food than my little nephew. I’m human; I'll eat any food. That's the definition of being atop the food chain.

First place wins a black TERA laptop bag and TERA poster signed by En Masse Entertainment staff, second place wins a green TERA messenger bag, and third place wins a black TERA hat. We will contact the winners this week.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who entered! Looking forward to our next event? Good, our December contest has already started!
