Greetings again, fellow soldiers! Tamur, force commander of Kaiator, here (again). I'm happy to report that I'm now seeing the passion I had hoped for during this initial vanarch election. Your posters are bold and your devotion to your candidates is inspiring. Real leaders bring out the best in their soldiers, and it's clear from these posters that we have some inspirational leaders in our ranks.
I chose the victors based on the effectiveness of the submitted posters and the persuasiveness of the accompanying texts describing why their candidates should win. There were many worthwhile entries. I present you with the strongest here.
View their posters. Read their words. I think you'll share my excitement.
Winners presented in no particular order.
Candidate: Yosh
Server Name: Valley of Titans
Guild: Will Not Fix
Preferred province: Northern Shara - Val Kaeli
Rather than electing a person, promoting Will Not Fix to Vanarchy means electing an entire guild. It isn’t about an individual but rather what the group’s outsanding coordination and dedication to the game can accomplish. With our podcast, we explain game mechanics and discuss the server’s events. We want to give the positive elements of the community a strong voice and help those who want to make the game better.
The leadership of the guild does not control its members but rather directs and organizes the guild’s efforts. Up against massive guilds forcing their way into seats with a high member count and mass bribery, we rely on the server’s support to succeed. People joined the guild because they believed in our way of doing things: Giving every person an equal voice. Each member’s opinion matters and it drives us to push ourselves and play selflessly.
Electing Will Not Fix assures you that the best guild for the job is making your game better by opening Specialty shops, Trade brokers and organizing public events. Taxes will never be used for the guild’s benefit. Instead, they will fund the positive efforts within the community and make the game a better experience.
Candidate: Arenthas
Server: Celestial Hills
Guild: The Empyrean Divine
Preferred province:Helkam Province
This is how I would handle Vanarch rule and have to offer!
1) Weekly Patrol Eventsto help travelers in our province farm BAMS and quests that NEVER get done.
2) Lowered Taxrates - Let's keep those shops open and not have some greedy Vanarch hoard it.
3) Keep those Flight Paths Open - We like to travel and we like to travel quickly.
4) A Natural Hub for Roleplayers on the Frontlines against the Argons.
5) Provincial Events that include PVP/RP and Alliance Battles against the Argons.
6) Reputation Farming Assistance - Nobody likes to Rep Grind, let us help.
Candidate: RJDog
SERVER: Frost Reach
GUILD: Reign
PREFERRED PROVINCE: Poporia
RJDog, along with his loyal members in Reign, promise an atmosphere of comfort for all that reside in Poporia. Much like how he has unified and justly led his guildmates, RJDog will strive to assist visiting players in the province by making their experience beneficial and fair. He will deliver a satisfying reign through implementation of features that are smart for the server as a whole, and not selfishly greedy or downright cruel.
--Not to mention, as a Baraka, he'll 'rock' the land.
I have to say I am humbled by your loyalty and dedication to this initial crop of vanarch candidates. Seeing the quality of all of these potential provincial leaders fills me with confidence. This will be an election to remember. Victory for Valkyon!
